WHO I AM
Hello, I'm Chris Laverick, a qualified guitar teacher with considerable experience both performing and teaching various modern music genres. I provide one-on-one lessons in both acoustic and electric guitar from my dedicated music studio in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. My teaching background includes positions in schools and music colleges across the UK, and I possess an IMF teaching qualification from De Montford University (Instrumental Music Facilitator).
WHAT I OFFER
I provide personalised, one-on-one guitar tuition within a comfortable home music studio. Lessons are suitable for all levels of player from the very beginner to advanced players. Each lesson is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs, abilities, and musical preferences of the student. My teaching encompasses guitar techniques, music theory, and song repertoire. My approach prioritises creating an engaging and enjoyable learning experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Lessons can be scheduled on a regular basis, either weekly or fortnightly, to accommodate your availability.
STYLES
I can teach a diverse array of musical styles and songs tailored to the unique preferences of each student. This includes genres such as blues, rock, pop, country, folk, jazz, rock 'n' roll, and classical music.
ACOUSTIC
Lessons can be taken on either acoustic guitar, electric guitar or a mix of both. Acoustic guitar styles could involve learning strumming and fingerstyle techniques or even learning how to accompany your own singing,
ELECTRIC
If you prefer to learn on electric guitar then I will provide all amps, leads, and effects for the lesson. I can teach rhythm and lead guitar techniques. Just bring your guitar, plug in and play.
THEORY
For students with an interest in music theory, I can offer comprehensive support. You can learn everything from scales, chords, arpeggios, improvising, reading music notation/TAB and much more.
SONGS
Learning Repertoire and songs is an important part of becoming a good musician. I will teach you material to help inspire your journey ensuring that you're enjoying your progress and learning to play songs that you love.
GREAT VALUE
The primary focus of my tuition is the individual student. Everyone receives a dedicated hour of one-on-one guitar tuition. This is priced at just £24 per hour.
